Release Notes

July 2024 release: Standard Education v2.2

July 23, 2024

It’s been a year since our first release in the Summer of 2023, and we’re excited to celebrate in a big way this month—our release of the Teacher Dashboards right before the 2024-2025 school year.

So far, we've had information at the building level that provides details about what's happening in a particular school. We also had dashboards for individual students that displayed their grades, attendance, behavior issues, and assessment scores. However, what we were lacking was a teacher dashboard—information that shows details about a specific classroom or teacher. It will help teachers keep a pulse on their classes, account for grading practices, how they stack up to other classes, and intervene early as needed.

New teacher dashboards

Our CEO, TJ, gives a quick overview of our new teacher dashboard and its new drilldown capabilities.

Key updates

  • Teacher dashboard
    • New dashboard (and user level) that allows teachers to access their classes and students
    • Highlights how their classes are performing against others in the school
    • List of students includes grade averages, attendance, and links to student dashboard
  • Categories for dashboards — We’re introducing categories so dashboards are easier to find as you keep creating them
  • History — We can’t continue to improve until we’ve seen where we’ve been! You’re now able to create a snapshot of data each night. For example, this will allow us to trend grades over time or see how attendance has gone up (or down) over time, etc.

Minor Revisions

  • Default dashboard for teachers only right now
  • New user type: Teacher
    • For permissions, teachers will be able to see only their own classes and students on their dashboards
